I never really did one of these things so I thought I'd show you guys my version of Petey and Spidey. I'm a big fan of the Super Dorko Peter Parker from the early 60's more then the modern cool ass Petey of today. To me the Geek Pete was the ultimate mask. No one ever suspects a friendless braniac loser with a hunch to be the super strong, wall crawling, web swinging hero. I wanted to elongate his porportion and give him very lanky figure. This look to me sort of makes him look more "SPIDER" like when he pops on the suit. Anyways...Tell me what ya think of my version fellow devs.

I like that Spidey isn't muscular. It makes his strength more "Amazing" and "Spectacular." I also like Peter's apparent dorkiness. He looks like a target of a certain High School demographic. I like bigger eyes on mask usually but yours are fine. Excellent job *kizer180 !!!

I swear to you, I developed a concept similar to this. However, in mine, Peter Parker was a creepy, skinny,bug-eyed kid who carried around a jar of spiders, and put on a costume, becoming a creepy, skinny, bug-eyed hero who "sssssspoke like thisssss."

The Stve Ditk elements are extremely prominent, and worked in well. The civilian outfit is awesome too, I like the whole necklace idea. I think that Spider Man should be Spider -like, not a muscle-bound hero. This truly reinforces that Spiderman culd be ANYONE behind the mask.

Great job!

Five years later and the makers of the Amazing Spider-man flick seem to agree with you. Pete and Spidey both look like teenagers. That spider-strength doesn't have to translate to ripped muscles and mega flexing. It's a super power in a comic so you can let his physicality represent the personality. Reminds me of the Ditko classics with a fresh spin and you didn't have to change the iconic costume at all!

I agree with you - I always thought the best Peter Parkers were the super-geeky friendless ones. They appealed to me as a child the most, because I was geeky and friendless, and for that reason he was always my favorite superhero. Relatability, and all that. Maybe it's why I always go for the lanky geeks in the guys that I date.... Who knows, lol.
